Sedona (34" x 49")

Sedona hails from the town of Mut in the province of Mersin, and is 30-35 years old. It was most likely made as a dowry piece, as the motifs heavily emphasize unity, marriage, and fertility, with small earrings (a common motif for wedding presents) woven across.

What makes Sedona unique is the beautiful color story — muted mauves and blacks with vibrant colors in the center.
