Biber (3' x 4'4")

Biber is a sumak style hand-knotted kilim from Adana, Turkey. It is over 60 years old and is in excellent shape for its age (there is a small area of wear near the tassels, please reference the third photo).

Biber has kept its vibrant red color with softer chartreuse green motifs. The bigger motifs represent marriage, fertility, and abundance; while the linear motifs are woven in for protection against evil.
